After months of work, enormous effort by Lo-Fi members and support from Braunstone Park and Rowley Fields community ward funding and also Westcotes community ward funding, we are ready to celebrate its completion. Will will also be launching
We have been given permission to use the very well equipped darkroom at the St Margarets campus of Leicester College. We will be running darkroom and film processing sessions on a Thursday evening 6-9pm.
We’re afraid we’re having to cancel this workshop for this year but it’ll be back again next year.
Last weekend saw the start of this years Art Trail Festival, for our part we put on a Kamra-e-faoree portrait session at the Orange Tree, as well as the ‘Exposure’ exhibition. Check out some images from the portrait session below, and go check out the exhibition, its on until the end of the month.
Our latest exhibition – Exposure – has just been installed at the Orange Tree. Collating recent work by current Leicester Lo-Fi members. With everything from pinholes to photograms, paper negatives to destroyed negatives. It’s on show until the end of August.
The Russian Camera Photowalk last weekend was a great day out, exploring the city in glorious sunshine with cameras built from tanks (not really, but they were very heavy), below are some photos of us out and about, as well as back at the darkroom processing our films.

We shall be attending this years Riverside Festival, held around Bede Park, Mile Straight, Western Boulevard and Castle Gardens on the 4th and 5th of June. We’ll be setting up camp (literally) with our new Gazebo and will be producing Kamra-E-Faoree portraits for visitors to the festival. A section of images from the event:
This bank holiday weekend sees this years Handmade Festival take place across the city. With lots of excellent music and art to go and see and experience. Leicester Lo-Fi have a small exhibition at the O2, alongside some amazing work by Andy Stafford and Jacqui Booth in their ‘Yours and Mine’ exhibition, and the Handmade music
