The ope ring night was a great success, thanks to all those who braved the weather and came along to visit us (photos below). We are now open as usual, every Wednesday evening from 6-9pm
The time is here – we’re ready to open up the new darkroom to anyone and everyone. Wednesday 28th July, 6-9pm – come along to the Bishop Street Methodist Church to meet us and see the new community darkroom.
It’s been a while since the last post here – we’ve been busy working on building the new darkroom (Covid rules allowing) but more on that later. We were asked to produce portraits for a project celebrating Leicester’s talented and diverse musicians. the portraits were shot on 4X5 film and printed 24″x20″ in our soon
We’ve been setting simple alternative photography projects for folk to do at home. We hope to put on an exhibition of the work produced for these when we can reopen the darkroom – visit our projects page for more details.
Well, another 3 weeks in lockdown – lets do something else Lumenprints!! These are fab to do, especially with the nice weather. Basically, it’s one of the oldest photographic processes, you place stuff on top of the light sensitive paper, hold in place with plastic or glass and leave outside for a few days/weeks. All
Due to the current situation, the build on the new darkroom has been put on hold until its safe to continue. In the meantime, we want to remain active in the community and here on social media, so we are proposing a little project for people to get involved with at home – we’re calling it
